Cozumel is one of the best places in the Mexican Caribbean for diving, as it is almost entirely surrounded by the Mesoamerican Reef (the second longest in the world), making it recognized as one of the top five diving spots in the world.
Chankanaab Cozumel Park was declared a National Park and is considered a special area for the protection and refuge of the region’s flora and fauna.
This park offers activities such as swimming with dolphins, sea lion shows, pre-Hispanic replicas, tequila tasting, diving, snorkeling, among others.
This park is the largest natural reserve in Cozumel, with a great diversity of regional flora and fauna, fine white sand beaches, and a boat ride through the Colombia Lagoon. Here you will find the Celarain Lighthouse, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view.
This archaeological site has been considered a pilgrimage center where the Maya worshipped the goddess “Ixchel” (the Mayan goddess of the Moon). Besides being a sacred Mayan center, it was a strategic site for trade and political development in the area.
The Cozumel Planetarium is the first planetarium in Latin America with 3D projection technology, allowing you to navigate with the stars. It develops various activities related to scientific knowledge and innovation, as well as preserving the legacy of Mayan culture.
El Mirador is located on the other side of the island, featuring a rocky marine landscape dotted with natural bridges, tide pools, and stone spires. It is an undeveloped area where you can appreciate the open Caribbean Sea.
